The shared framework
Academic evidence, parent insight and the learner’s own perspective guide instruction. Both programs build academic knowledge and executive-function skills through explicit teaching, guided practice and opportunities to take ownership.
Learning preferences help us choose useful ways to engage the learner. Ongoing evidence shows which strategies help the student understand, apply and retain what they learn.
Both programs use the IGNITE/FUEGO framework. Location and funding do not define a child’s ability, potential or the quality of instruction.

Students learn the content and practice the skills that help them put it to work.
Understand strengths, assessed needs, interests and learning preferences. Start with a goal that matters to the child.
Make thinking visible. Use meaningful challenges, guided practice and useful feedback to deepen understanding.
Help the learner plan a next step, choose a strategy, check the result and try again with greater confidence.
