FUEGO After School Learning
Specialized instruction guided by your child’s assessed learning profile, strengths and learning preferences, using the IGNITE/FUEGO framework.
One instructional framework
Two ways to access it.

The whole learner
A profile guides the teaching. Evidence guides the next step.
Ms. V’s approach brings together assessment information, student work, observable patterns, parent insight and the learner’s own perspective. Instruction responds to strengths, academic needs, exceptionalities and learning preferences.
Students practice academic knowledge, analytical and critical thinking, planning, organization, useful help-seeking and self-reflection. Explicit teaching and guided practice lead toward greater ownership as readiness grows.
Progress includes what students know and how they use it: choosing a strategy, starting a task, checking work and returning after a setback. These observations guide instruction and family communication.

Before you express interest
Is the instruction different between IGNITE and FUEGO?
Both use the IGNITE/FUEGO framework for individualized academic instruction and executive-function development. Each child’s assessed profile guides instruction. The program differences are location and funding.
Where and when will the program begin?
The proposed FUEGO pilot is planned for one Houston school in spring 2027, subject to funding and school approval. Participating locations, eligible grades, exact dates and session times will be confirmed before enrollment.
How is participation funded?
FUEGO uses grants, donations and sponsorships to provide participation at no cost to families. Funding and school approval must be secured before the pilot launches.
Is this the same as IGNITE Private?
These are planned after-school programs. IGNITE Private is a separate individualized 1:1 pathway. Families can discuss fit and availability before choosing a format.
What happens after I send an inquiry?
LEX receives your inquiry for a conversation about your learner or partnership. Expressing interest does not reserve a place, create an enrollment agreement or authorize payment.
